Creme Brulee

This creme brulee recipe is silky smooth, creamy and need only 4 ingredents! It is sigar free, low carb and diabetic friendly!

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 5 large Egg yolks - room temperature
  • ½ cup Allulose OR
  • ½ cup Skinny Sweet

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven/air-fryer to 150 degrees Celsius. Prepare 4 large or 6 smaller ramekins by smearing them with melted butter and place them in a deep baking dish and set aside for later.
  2. In a saucepan add the heavy cream on a low heat. NB! Heat the heavy cream until it is just warm, not boiling! Make sure you stir the cream regularly. When it is heated to just when it starts to simmer, remove the cream from the heat and stir in your vanilla essence.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add your room temperature egg yolks and sweetener (Allulose or Skinny Sweet) and whisk it together until well combined. Then SLOWLY add the heavy cream mixture while continuing to whisk until the mixture is combined and smooth.
  4. Distribute your creme brulee mixture between your prepared ramekins. Pour boiling water around the ramekins into the baking dish until halfway up the ramekins sides.
  5. Bake the creme brulee for 30-35 minutes then carefully remove it from the over or air fryer and leave on a cooling rack to cool down completely. Once the creme brulee is cooled down, refrigerate it for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight.
  6. When your creme brulee is set remove them from the refrigerator and let sit for 20 minutes to come to room temperature. Top each ramekin with a teaspoon of sweetener and using a blowtorch, torch the sweetener until caramalized.
  7. Add berries and cream if you like or serve as is. Enjoy!
